Local-First Architecture

Scribe and all Tetrix applications are built with a local-first architecture. This means:

  • Your documents are stored on your device
  • AI features run entirely on-device using Apple's Foundation Models
  • No content is sent to our servers
  • You maintain complete control over your data

What We Collect

We collect minimal information necessary to provide our services:

  • Waitlist: Email address (to notify you about beta access)
  • Analytics: Anonymous usage statistics to improve our products
  • Crash reports: Technical information to fix bugs (no personal content)

iCloud Sync

If you choose to enable iCloud sync, your documents are stored in your personal iCloud account. This data is encrypted by Apple and we have no access to it. You can disable sync at any time and your data remains on your device.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Apple: For on-device AI, iCloud sync, and app distribution
  • Convex: For waitlist management (email only)

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your data stored with us
  • Request deletion of your waitlist entry
  • Export all your documents from Scribe
  • Disable analytics collection in app settings
